Palais Coburg, (34 rooms) description: The Palais Coburg, in the heart of Vienna , is a fascinating building whose architectural uniqueness brings to life six centuries of history. Tradition and innovation, research, culture and forward-looking technologies are brought together here in a manner unique in the world. The guiding principle of "Preserving the past - shaping the future" is a living reality. Relaxing, feeling at ease, the creative exchange of ideas, thrilling encounters and gastronomic delights in a historic-modern ambience are all part of this outstanding concept. The Palais Coburg is a wholly special place.
Above the roofs of Vienna, the guests of the Palais Coburg enjoy an exclusive SPA area with the latest training equipment, sauna, steam-bath, whirlpool, counter-current indoor pool and dedicated sun-terrace. Surrounded by tropical plants, the SPA offers the ideal setting for relaxation and recovery after tiring days.
The fitness room is equipped with TV facilities, and a fridge stocked with soft drinks is available to guests. The Coburg SPA is an oasis to health, well-being and fitness which is practically unique amongst the 5-star hotels of Vienna.
The Coburg Hotel Residenz is the first new five-star hotel to be opened in Vienna in the past ten years. Since 2004 the Coburg has been a member of the prestigious Relais & Châteaux group. The idea inspiring the luxury hostelry with just thirty-four suites is to offer a small number of spacious, luxurious units offering an unforgettable stay. On the hotel’s top floor there is a spa with pool, sauna, steam bath and an area for quiet relaxing, as well as fitness room with cardio-training equipment.

AVERAGE GUEST RATING

ROOM INFORMATION The total of 35 suites in the Palais Coburg Hotel Residenz range in size between 54 m² and 165 m², with an average size of 100 m², and they are mainly spread over two floors of the building. Each suite is individually furnished. Embracing the hotel's slogan, "Preserving the past and shaping the future", in these rooms too the visitor is frequently reminded of the historic setting in which he is staying, whilst at the same time he does not have to forego the quality and comforts of a luxury-class hotel. Each of the suites is named after one of the historic personalities who were part of the family of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha or are connected with it and with the history of the building. Thus here you will find representatives of the ruling houses of Great Britain, France, Hungary, Portugal, Bulgaria, Belgium and Austria.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE The Restaurant Coburg is the gastronomic heart of the building. Here, in the "belly of the Palais", 2002 Cook of the Year Christian Petz celebrates his style of cuisine, which has received many awards. The focus is on clear, modern, purist cuisine at a top international level, which affords itself the luxury of quality without compromise over the basic products and which consciously rejects the short-lived phenomena of contemporary fashions.
As well as bringing simple products and classic dishes once more to the fore, the deliberately playful combination of wine and culinary delights continues to be a central theme of Petz´s gastronomic expertise.
The Coburg Wine Bistro offers delicious light meals, either in the Bastion Bar or in the Garden Pavilion, throughout the day.
On the ground floor of the Palais, in addition to the Bastion Bar the visitor will also find the "Wine Archive", where he can not only purchase any wine from the excellent Palais Coburg wine cellar, but also the finest Austrian gastronomic products such as Alois Gölles fruit vinegars.
